Dr. Korpinen obtained his undergraduate degree in biology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He continued his education at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Korpinen completed his surgical residency at the Harris County Surgical Residency Program in Houston. As part of his educational training, Dr. Korpinen was privileged to care for patients at the Veterans Hospital in San Francisco and to treat Marines at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.
Because of his collegiate basketball career and his yearly work with the BMW Dallas Marathon, sports medicine is a special interest for Dr. Korpinen. He is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management. Dr. Korpinen frequently speaks about foot problems with radio stations, local hospitals, newspapers, and on television.
Dr. Korpinen is married, has two beautiful children, and lives in McKinney, Texas. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, basketball, golf, coaching his children, and running.
